The Lantern Community is set in the beautiful North Dorset countryside, yet remains easily accessible. It is approximately 17 miles (27 km) from Salisbury, around 15 minutes from the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, and about 2 hours 30 minutes from London and Bristol.

Morebus operates regular services to and from The Lantern Community from Salisbury railway station and Royal Bournemouth Hospital via the X3 route, and occasionally from Poole via the X6.
By Bike/Walk
The Lantern Community is in a great spot for anyone who enjoys walking or cycling, with the beautiful Castleman Trailway right nearby.
You can easily walk or cycle here from West Moors or Ringwood while enjoying the lovely countryside along the way.
We’re also close to the fantastic Moors Valley Country Park and Forest — perfect for woodland walks, bike rides, and family days out.
