The Lantern Community was created to bring people together in a caring, creative, and supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to grow, learn, and feel valued. Inspired by Camphill principles, our community is built on kindness, inclusion, meaningful work, and shared experiences.

Set in the beautiful Hampshire countryside near Ringwood, The Lantern Community offers a peaceful place where adults with diverse learning abilities can enjoy community life, develop confidence, and take part in a variety of creative and practical activities.

Over the years, our community has grown to include welcoming workshops, a cosy café and bakery, and a community shop filled with handmade crafts, gifts, organic products, and everyday essentials. From pottery and weaving to baking and land craft, every activity helps create opportunities for learning, independence, and achievement.

More than anything, The Lantern Community is a place of friendship, creativity, and belonging — where people come together to support one another and celebrate each person’s unique strengths and potential.
